About
As a child I was fortunate to receive a classical music education. I learned and still play the cello to this day.
As a young adult I studied engineering and earned a master’s degree in Digital Signal Processing from the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris.
I then continued my education in music technology at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Music, Media, and Technology at McGill University, and in violin acoustics through a series of conferences organized by ITEMM / LAUM and various european lutherie schools.
Since 2012, I have worked as a front-end software instrument developer for Native Instruments.
In recent years I’ve been experimenting with digital music instruments and composition through various musical projects and I was introduced to North Indian classical music through the sitar with Sebastian Dreyer.
In parallel, I developed an interest in traditional musical instrument building and started the construction of a viola da gamba.
Since 2017, after reading extensively about temperament history and scale genesis, I began experimenting with string harmonics. One outcome of this research is an electromagnetically driven monochord. I am currently improving the circuit to be able to drive more channels.
